Just checked out 森2488m on the second floor of the Alishan Bus Station - what a cool spot! Opened in 2022, this place is a mix of a coffee shop, gift store, and art space, all rolled into one. Super cozy with amazing mountain views. They've got great Alishan coffee and tea, plus some really neat designer stuff. I couldn't resist buying a few things - they're all about local culture and design here. The vibe is laid-back and the staff are super friendly and know their stuff. If you're in Alishan, definitely swing by 森2488m. It's a great spot to chill and find some unique items. Trust me, you'll love it!

Awesome spot to grab a coffee/tea/drink up in the mountains! This place is a hybrid cafe and exhibit with lots of cool history and wood art pieces related to local Alishan culture. The owner was super friendly too and offered great recommendations around the area.

Amazing cafe and art museum! Take the escalator in Alishan Transport Station then elevator to go down. I had an amazing view of sea of clouds while enjoying a hot chocolate drink as I wait for my bus back to Chiayi All the staff were also friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend to go here

A great place to chill before heading into Alishan Recreation Area or waiting for the bus. Fantastic views from the seats, pretty good Alishan coffee & tea, & very friendly staff.

A coffee shop transformed from a traditional industry offers the opportunity to savor Alishan high mountain tea and Alishan coffee while enjoying the breathtaking sea of clouds. In addition, visitors can explore exhibitions to learn about the history and culture of Alishan.

While waiting for the bus back to Chiayi, it’s recommended to spend an hour enjoying a cup of coffee or tea and exploring the exhibition at 3rd floor. You can learn about the forestry and cultural history of Alishan and take home uniquely designed souvenirs.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! Looks like a sleepy little cafe but the food and coffee packs a punch. The “Daily Meal” consists of pizza that was handmade on the spot, with locally foraged mushrooms. The berry cheesecake was also delicious with local berries. The americano was fragrant and tasted great. Highly recommend if you’re catching a bus from here!
